DIETARY MANAGEMENT FOR KIDNEY HEALTH AND CHRONIC KIDNEY DISEASE

Chronic kidney disease means that your kidneys are progressively losing their function over a long period of time. This damage can cause waste building up in your body, anaemia, and bone disease.

Diabetes, high blood pressure, heart disease, or family history of kidney failure are the risk factors for chronic kidney disease. The longer you have had high blood pressure, diabetes, or heart disease, the higher chance that you will have kidney disease.

When you progressively lose your kidney function, you may experience symptoms such as dry and itchy skin, tired, headache, poor appetite, muscle cramps at night, swollen feet and ankles, nausea, vomiting, trouble concentrating, just to name a few.

How I help?

I can work with you to create an eating plan that suits you based on how your kidneys are doing. We will work together to preserve your kidney function, relieve symptoms, and provide adequate nutrition and hydration support your body needs.
